Joe knows our priorities.

Joe Hubbard Montgomery’s best days are ahead. We just need to decide how to reach them. We need a strong local economy built on dependable jobs that our families can count on. We must also provide a quality education for our children, and give them a reason to stay here when they grow up.

Let’s get to work building Montgomery’s future. As your representative, your priorities will be my priorities:

Jobs

jobs In this economy, we’ve got to get back to basics with our plan to grow business and put people back to work. We’ve got to remember that

“small businesses are the foundation of our city’s economy, and we must nurture them.”

We will work with our Mayor, City Council, and County Commission to find new ways to bring quality, sustainable jobs to Montgomery; we must support and nurture the small businesses that are an integral part of the local economy.

Education

education Over the past few years we have seen that when we have invested in education, we received a substantial return. We must review our education budget to find where our dollars will be most effective and spend them there.

“Every dollar we spend on education should go to ensuring that our children get excellence in the classroom.”

If we all take ownership of Montgomery’s school system, we will all see the benefits, through a highly trained workforce, highly educated individuals who embrace the idea of lifetime learning, and property values that reflect a top tier school system.

Ethics Reform

ethics It seems like every day, we see another politician involved in a corruption scandal. Now more than ever, we need to restore accountability and transparency in our State government to earn back the public trust.

The people of this community deserve to know where their representative stands on the issues that affect them, just as they deserve to know what special interests are trying to influence that position.

“We must disclose all business that is conducted in the Statehouse, including opening the ‘closed door’ attitude where king–makers work without the knowledge of the public.”
